Specific to ARIN, Buyers must demonstrate a business justification to be eligible to receive an IPv4 Subnet. Buyers are required to receive approval from their respective Regional Internet Registry. Here are some tips:
RIPE NCC, one of the five Regional Internet Registries (RIRs), manages the allocation and registration of Internet number resources like IPv4 addresses, IPv6 addresses, and Autonomous System (AS) Numbers in Europe, the Middle East, and parts of Central Asia. Established in 1992, it plays a crucial role in supporting the infrastructure of the Internet through technical coordination. The "/20" notation refers to a subnet mask in IP addressing, indicating a prefix length of 20 bits. This leaves 12 bits for host addresses within the subnet, allowing for up to 4,096 addresses, used for organizing and managing IP address allocations efficiently within networks.
